This video presentation advocates a new socio-economic system, which is updated to present-day knowledge, featuring the life-long work of Social Engineer, Futurist, Inventor and Industrial Designer Jacque Fresco, which he calls a Resource-Based Economy. This documentary details the root causes of the systemic value disorders and detrimental symptoms caused by our current established system. The film details the need to outgrow the dated and inefficient methods of politics, law, business, or any other "establishment" notions of human affairs, and use the methods of science, combined with high technology, to provide for the needs of all the world's people. It is not based on the opinions of the political and financial elite or on illusionary so-called democracies, but on maintaining a dynamic equilibrium with the planet that could ultimately provide abundance for all people. Paradise or Oblivion, by The Venus Project, introduces the viewer to a more appropriate value system that would be required to enable this caring and holistic approach to benefit human civilization. This alternative surpasses the need for a monetary-based, controlled, and scarcity-oriented environment, which we find ourselves in today. This is NOT the "major motion picture" that The Venus Project is working towards but rather is a short documentary to introduce the aims and proposals to new people.

Goodbye

I never even got to say goodbye, never any good at it anyway. Like pulled away, maybe not kicking and screaming but gasping for breath about to go under the water. And now I'm screaming and no one can hear. But once I look around I can see how beautiful every thing is. Even if it's nothing like I thought, and nowhere I thought I'd be. Taking my time. To realize every day will never come again.

Drive to Live.

He was talking about drive to live and I was thinking YES. Will to go on and not just live but thrive. Mentally, spiritually, emotionally, physically. All encompassing life, mind, body, and soul as if they were anything else but connected. So intricately connected that to have balance in one is incomplete if to not have balance in all. Much like this universal life. To have balance with all is to have balance with one; yourself. And I dare to say that is the ultimate goal. And I can't see the point for reaching for anything else. So I close my eyes before this cliff, not ready to fall but ready to LEAP. Jump. Fly. Soar. And why not? Nothing to stop you but your own mind and your own ambition.
Drive to Live. Live to drive.

I met god the other day.
I know what you’re thinking. How the hell did you know it was god?
Well, I’ll explain as we go along, but basically he convinced me by having all, and I do mean ALL, the answers. Every question I flung at him he batted back with a plausible and satisfactory answer. In the end, it was easier to accept that he was god than otherwise.
Which is odd, because I’m still an atheist and we even agree on that!
It all started on the 8.20 back from Paddington. Got myself a nice window seat, no screaming brats or drunken hooligans within earshot. Not even a mobile phone in sight. Sat down, reading the paper and in he walks.
What did he look like?
